ALL ABOUT SWEETWATER

Visiting Sweetwater is like stepping back in time! Our unique shops & attractions are nothing like typical chain stores, malls or outlets. Sweetwater offers a bit of nostalgia along with the charm and friendliness that one would expect in a small southern town.

Sweetwater’s historic shopping district is the proud home of many recently renovated buildings that remind us of the town’s early beginning in 1875. Here you will find an abundance of shops that are filled with rare antiques, exquisite home furnishings and decor, original works of art, choice fashion and accessories, unique garden gifts, hard to find collectibles, discount quality hosiery, and much much more.

Dining in Sweetwater is always a pleasure when you visit our local bakery and cafe, ice cream parlor, and other fine restaurants and eateries in the surrounding area.

After a day of shopping and fine dining, take a relaxing stroll down historic Mayes Avenue and take in the sights of the many beautifully restored Victorian homes that line the streets of our most celebrated residential area. Or you may decide to buy a fresh loaf of bread at our bread outlet and feed the beautiful ducks and geese while walking the winding pathways at the Sweetwater Duck Park. This often overlooked park is located just across the railroad tracks in our downtown district.
